Davide Astori – From Cagliari

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have made a £7m bid for central defender Davide Astori. However, with the club valuing the 26 year old at £12m and Southampton having offered £9.5m, the Reds will have to up their bid in order to secure the signature of the Italian international.

Salomon Kalou – From Lille

The former Chelsea man joined the French club on a free transfer last summer, but have failed to impress in Ligue 1. Both West Ham and Liverpool have been linked with a January move for the 27 year old winger, and Lille could be willing to accept bids around £3m. Judging by quotes from the player himself, a possible return to England would interest him:

“I am flattered with all teams linked with me in England,” he said.

“It means I am not a bad player as some people think. Teams such as Liverpool, West Ham, are very good teams.”

And the rest:

The Tom Ince saga seems to continue. Blackpool have slapped a £6m price tag on him, but Liverpool are not willing to go beyond their £4m bid.

Rumours about Arda Turan are still circulating, and his former teammate Diego has now joined Atletico coach Diego Simeone in publicly urging him to stay in Madrid:

“He’s playing perfectly,” said the 27-year-old midfielder.

“He’s a very creative player, of which there are many. Arda should continue at Atletico. If he leaves, I think he would be making a mistake.”

Liverpool are said to be one of the clubs interested in PSV’s midfielder Kevin Strootman, but sporting director Marcel Brands has previously ruled out a January move for the Dutch international.

Sebastian Coates has been linked to Napoli and West Brom the last couple of days, after Brendan Rodgers hinted a loan move good be good for him.
