Fans of all clubs react to Steven Gerrard’s contract extension

As news broke of Steven Gerrard signing a new two-year deal with Liverpool this afternoon (Monday), fans took to Twitter to welcome the news.

‘Captain Fantastic’ will continue his stay for another year, adding one more year onto his current deal, which expired next summer.

It wasn’t just Liverpool fans who took to Twitter to salute the midfielder.

Gerrard has earned the praise and respect of fans of rival clubs too.
