So far so good for Iago Aspas

New Liverpool attacker Iago Aspas says he is enjoying life at the club so far.

Aspas completed a switch this summer from Celta Vigo and has started all three of Liverpool’s opening Premier League fixtures so far.

The 26-year-old is yet to score competitively for the Reds and could face competition for his place once Luis Suarez has served the remainder of his current suspension.

However, with one eye on the league table, Aspas is delighted at life on Merseyside so far.

“I’m very happy, especially because we are leading the league,” he is quoted on the club’s official website as saying.

“But it’s only been three games and it’s a very long competition.

“I would tell any player to go to the Premier League.

“You get a different feeling – especially compared to Spain.

“I’m playing a bit further back that it did at Celta, but the big difference is how physical the league is compared to Spain.

“It’s hard to say which is better, but when the season ends and I have played all the teams I will have a better idea.”

We’d love to hear what you think of Aspas after his first few games for the club. Let us know in the comments below, or on Twitter @thisisanfield.
