Liverpool to announce Garuda Indonesia commercial deal

It may have been a quiet transfer window at Anfield in terms of players arriving, but Liverpool’s commercial team have been busy at least.

This month we’ve already seen deals with Dunkin Donuts and Vauxhall Motors announced and Monday is set to see a further deal with an existing partner, Garuda Indonesia announced.

Garuda Indonesia are already the club’s “official airline partner” – something that was agreed in 2012.

Last week Liverpool launched a campaign called #OneGuardianSaid – an anagram of Garuda Indonesia, with players wearing shirts with the hashtag on them prior to the Bournemouth match.

That has led to much speculation over what the deal could involve, with a training kit deal similar to Manchester United’s with DHL seeming the most likely. The more optimistic guess is that it could be something regarding stadium developments.

All will be revealed this afternoon.

UPDATE: This deal has now been confirmed:

Liverpool Football Club has today announced airline Garuda Indonesia as its very first official training kit partner, for two seasons kicking off on June 1, 2014.

Big news.
