Gerrard and Toure’s inclusions are the only changes to the lineup from Monday’s victory over Swansea City at Anfield as the Reds look to start 2015 in style.

Danny Ward is the substitute goalkeeper again with Brad Jones injured.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Can, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling.

Substitutes: Ward, Lovren, Lambert, Manquillo, Borini, Markovic, Ojo.

Leicester have made four changes from a first win in 14 matches against Hull City with Ritchie de Laet, Danny Drinkwater, Dean Hammond and James Vardy coming in.

Leicester City: De Laet, Drinkwater, Morgan, Hammond, James, Vardy, Schlupp, Simpson, Mahrez, Wasilewski.

Substitutes: Smith, Lawrence, Moore, Cambiasso, Ulloa, Knockaert, Nugent.
