Gerrard will make his final home appearance for Liverpool on Saturday on what promises to be an emotional day at Anfield.

Telling the media at his press conference to preview Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace, Rodgers said a loan move for Gerrard back to Merseyside next season “may be a possibility”.

“He’s somebody I’d love to have working with me when he has finished playing. That opportunity for him to come back will be there for as long as I’m here,” added Rodgers.
