Jurgen Klopp restores his strongest XI for tonight’s 226th Merseyside derby (8pm BST kick off).

Klopp makes 9 changes from the side that started at Bournemouth on Sunday, with Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva the only players to keep their place.

Simon Mignolet returns in goal, with Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno ahead of him in defence.

Lucas Leiva moves from centre-back to midfield, where he’s partnered by James Milner, with Joe Allen dropping to the bench.

Divock Origi starts up front, with Daniel Sturridge having to settle for a place on the bench.

Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho lineup alongside Firmino behind Origi.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Milner, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Origi.

Subs: Ward, Toure, Smith, Stewart, Allen, Ibe, Sturridge.

Everton: Robles, Baines, Funes Mori, Stones, Oviedo, Barry (c), McCarthy, Lennon, Mirallas, Barkley, Lukaku.

Subs: Howard, Niasse, Cleverley, Besic, Deulofeu, Osman, Pienaar.
