Jurgen Klopp on Mamadou Sakho social media posts: “It’s not positive”

Jurgen Klopp says he will wait to address the situation with Mamadou Sakho after the defender posted comments on social media on Friday evening.

Sakho had taken to Snapchat and spoke out about his treatment, saying: “Now it’s 3 weeks since I am fit to play games. I finish all my rehabilitation work. They don’t want me to play also with second team lol! Why I don’t know.”

“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on pitch.. I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.

“Still happy to live in my “Liverpool Country” with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!

“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support.”

Addressing reporters at his post-match press conference on Saturday following the 5-1 thrashing of Hull City at Anfield, Klopp said he will wait to address the situation.

“Yeah…,” Klopp sighed when asked about Sakho’s comments. “The thing is, I was kind of confronted this morning that there was something I should know about. On a matchday I am not in the mood for these things.

“Sometimes it makes a lot of sense to wait, before you give the right answer. It’s not positive, shall we say.

“I will address the situation when it’s the right moment. Which isn’t Christmas.”

Sakho was already frozen out and his words have certainly not helped his situation with Klopp.
