Confirmed Liverpool lineup vs. Stoke City: Woodburn makes full Premier League debut

Jurgen Klopp has made three changes to his Liverpool side for Saturday’s clash away to Stoke City, with his selection hampered by injury.

The German was forced to prepare for the Reds’ trip to the Britannia Stadium without a host of key names, with Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane among those to miss out.

And after a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth in midweek, Liverpool are in desperate need of a win against the Potters in order to preserve their top-four hopes.

Despite the absences of some of his star names, however, Klopp has still been able to name a strong starting lineup.

Simon Mignolet makes his 17th consecutive appearance in the Premier League, with the goalkeeper operating behind a back five of Nathaniel Clyne, Ragnar Klavan, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and James Milner.

In midfield, Lucas Leiva drops out as Trent Alexander-Arnold starts, joining Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Illness has kept Philippe Coutinho out of the starting lineup, but the Brazilian is named on the bench alongside Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge.

This means Divock Origi is supported by Ben Woodburn in attack, with the youngster making his full Premier League debut.

Stoke City: Grant; Johnson, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Pieters; Shaqiri, Allen, Cameron, Arnautovic; Walters, Berahino

Substitutes: Given, Muniesa, Whelan, Adam, Diouf, Crouch, Ramadan

Liverpool: Mignolet; Clyne, Matip, Klavan, Lovren, Milner; Can, Wijnaldum, Alexander-Arnold; Woodburn, Origi

Substitutes: Karius, Lucas, Moreno, Grujic, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge
