Mohamed Salah is celebrating his one-year anniversary as a Liverpool player – what a memorable 12 months it has been.

June 22, 2017 was a notable day in the Reds’ recent history as Salah made the switch from Roma, signing a five-year deal at Anfield.

There was some scepticism surrounding the capture of the Egyptian following a failed Premier League spell with Chelsea, but what has happened since has been stunning.

The above video, released on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, documents some of the most significant moments of Salah’s debut year on Merseyside.

Having taken the No.11 shirt, the 25-year-old proved to be an immediate hit with Reds supporters, after surprising a group of them on his tour of Anfield.

A debut goal away to Watford further enhanced his growing legend, and the ‘Egyptian King’ never looked back from that point on.

The video shows one of Salah’s best strikes of the season, at Stoke City last November, as he reached 21 goals by the time Christmas arrived.

He also notched four Liverpool Player of the Month awards before the turn of the year, which illustrated the influence he was having on his new team.

Salah’s ‘Kop Kids Prank’ was undoubtedly one of the off-pitch highlights of the season, with the lovable African brilliantly surprising schoolchildren who thought they were entering a commentary contest.

There is also some footage of Salah and his great friend Dejan Lovren‘s entertaining interview, as well as his record-breaking 32nd Premier League goal of the season – just one of many records broken and awards won by him in 2017/18.

Salah’s campaign may have ended in heartbreaking fashion, following his Champions League final injury, but it is impossible to deny what a special year it has been.

Here’s to many more great years to come.
