Liverpool plans for Champions League final fan zone in Madrid revealed

After the incredible scenes in Kyiv’s Shevchenko Park last year, Liverpool will again hold their own fan event in Madrid ahead of the Champions League final.

Separate from the official UEFA fan parks, Liverpool’s fan zone will be in Plaza Felipe II from 11am (local time).

This is situated to the east of the UEFA fan zones which will be in Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Oriente, Puerta del Sol and Plaza del Callao.

Liverpool’s fan zone is nearest to the Metro stop Goya Station, which is an 18-minute metro from Plaza Mayor in the city centre.

It is then a direct metro on the red (2) line from Goya Station to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium (station: Las Rosas).

Last year’s fan zone in Kyiv’s Shevchenko Park provided amazing scenes and memories for those present in Ukraine and some of the faces who lit up the stage then will be doing so again in Madrid.

BOSS night’s Ben Burke, Jamie Webster and Kieran Molyneux will perform again, along with John Power and Chelcee Grimes, while The Anfield Wrap lads will also be on stage again.

Liverpool have also confirmed a DJ set from radio presenter and avid supporter Colin Murray, while “a selection of special guests will be making surprise appearances during the day.”

The event will conclude at 6pm, giving ticket-holders enough time to travel to the Wanda Metropolitano for kickoff.

“There will be no public screening at the Fan Park for those fans who are not in possession of a valid match ticket,” the club add.

“But there will be opportunities to catch the live action in many local venues around the city.”
