Liverpool FC unveil new white and navy away kit for season 2019/20

Liverpool FC, the European Champions, have officially unveiled their new away kit for season 2019/20.

The kit is predominantly white, with navy detailing on the badge and sponsors logos. The shorts are navy, while the socks are white with a lower navy section and red trim.

Manufacturers New Balance write that the kit “takes inspiration from iconic street signs around Anfield” and that “the navy trim also features the signature of Bob Paisley OBE on the inside of the neck, with the collar construction inspired by the Club’s 1977 European Cup-winning strip, worn on that victorious night in Rome.”

It follows on from the home kit being inspired by the Reds’ first European Cup win under Paisley in Rome.

On the new kit, Virgil van Dijk said: “Liverpool Football Club is my club – I’m proud to wear the shirt every single day when I walk out on the pitch, when we’re at Anfield and also when we play away from home.

“The signature tribute in the shirt is also a fantastic way to recognise and remember all the success of one of our greatest managers, Bob Paisley.”

* Fans can purchase the kit now and can also get the official UEFA Champions League 2019 trophy badge and the 6 times winners badge.
