Popular Pubs

The Albert

LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - Saturday, December 21, 2013: Liverpool supporters pub The Albert before the Premiership match against Cardiff City at Anfield. (Pic by David Rawcliffe/Propaganda)

Arguably the most popular and most well known pub, located right next to The Kop and opposite the new Hillsborough Justice Campaign Shop on Walton Breck Road. It has a good atmosphere, gets very busy and you must be prepared to wait for a pint, have your singing voice on and perhaps wait to get in when really busy. Some cynics may say “it’s full of Norweigans and ‘out of towners’!”

The Arkles

The ‘away fans pub’ – great to visit for some banter and a pre match pint with away fans, its located on the opposite side to the ground to most on this page (nearer the Anfield Road End). However, getting served can again take some time.
Address: 77 Anfield Rd, Liverpool. Phone: 0151 263 6419

The Park

Opposite The Albert, has a great atmosphere on matchdays and you can see the ground from the window when having a pint (or six). A popular pub amongst many regulars.

Other popular pubs around Anfield include; The Sandon, Sam Dodds, The Salisbury, The Flat Iron, King Harry and The Stanley.

Grub

As with most football stadia Anfield has a host of burger bars around the ground, there is no longer a McDonalds located on The Kop (much to many Kopite’s great pleasure). There’s also plenty of fast food places and kebab houses etc. in the streets around the ground.

Popular places on Walton Breck Road include Sing Fong (Chinese chip shop) and Homebaked (bakery).

There’s also the well known Everpool diner on Anfield Road, near the LFC Fan Park.
