Gerrard named PFA Player of the Year

Captain Steven Gerrard has crowned a brilliant few days for Liverpool by being named Player of the Year by his fellow professionals at the PFA.

He saw off five other contenders Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney and Chelsea‘s trio Terry, Cole, Lampard. Rooney was named young player of the year.

It caps a great few days for the club, with the youth team winning the FA Youth Cup on Friday night, the semi final victory over Chelsea on Saturday evening and Gerrard being voted top player on Sunday at the PFA dinner.

Well in Stevie.
