Liverpool host West Ham for their first home fixture of the 2006-07 Premiership season, in a repeat of the FA Cup Final which dramatically closed the domestic season back in May.
The Reds go into the game having succesfully qualified for the Champions League group stages with a hard fought 3-2 aggregate win over Maccabi Haifa of Isreal.
