Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has rubbished reports suggesting that Liverpool are interested in appointing him as their new chief executive, to replace the departed Rick Parry.
Parry left the Reds after 11 years of service at the end of the season and a successor is still being looked for.
Duffen says, “It’s a great example of the silly season at work, it’s ridiculous.
“I am completely focused on working with the manager and strengthening the squad for next season.”
