Rafa Benitez has scotched rumours of an early return from injury for Fernando Torres.
El Nino has been out since last month with a knee injury he picked up in Liverpool’s FA Cup game against Reading. Some reports have been suggesting that he would make an earlier than expected return in Liverpool’s next league game away at Man City on February 21st, but Rafa has said there’s not much chance of that.
Rafa told the official website: “I think it [the match at Eastlands] will be too early.
“He is training with the physios and the fitness coach, but he’s still not involved with the team. We will see next week how he progresses.”
