Suarez’s unpredictability makes him hard work

Liverpool Head Coch Steve Clarke has hailed striker Luis Suarez’s unpredictability as one of his best assets, making him hard work for defenders to play against.

Suarez has already made an impact on the Premier League since completing his £23million transfer from Ajax at the end of January, capturing the hearts of Kopites.

And Clarke believes the inability to read his game will continue to cause defenders a headache.

“Unpredictability is one of his biggest assets,” said Clarke. “As a defender you don’t know what he is going to do, so it is difficult.

“When he is in the penalty area he attacks defenders, he gets at them and forces them to make mistakes. Defender’s cannot over commit inside the box or they run the risk of giving away a penalty.

“It’s a big, big asset for him and I think for defenders it is very difficult to play against.”
