Inspirational Hillsborough campaigner Anne Williams, whose son Kevin was just 15 when he died at Hillsborough, has passed away.
Anne was diagnosed with terminal cancer last October, shortly after the findings of the Hillsborough Independent Panel Report in September. She passes away aged 62.
Anne dedicated her life to proving the truth about Kevin’s death, refusing to collect his death certificate of “accidental death”. Anne took her case to the European Court of Human Rights but was refused a new inquest for her son.
In December last year she was able to travel to the High Court to see the verdicts of accidental death quashed. Witnesses had told how Kevin had asked for his mum 45 minutes after the original 3.15pm cut-off.
Tributes were paid to Anne on twitter:

Very sad news about Anne Williams. The tragedy within the tragedy is that people like Anne are passing away before justice is served.
