“What a way to end 2016!” – How Liverpool players reacted to win vs. Man City

Liverpool players were out in force across their social media accounts to celebrate a huge win over Man City, as Liverpool kept their pursuit of the Premier League title on track.

Georginio Wijnaldum’s powerful header ensured the Reds rounded off a year of progression on and off the pitch at Anfield with a fourth straight victory.

Klopp’s men were forced to grind it out, but the way they worked tirelessly, defended when on the back-foot and managed the game in the latter stages to see out the win was extremely pleasing.

The potential impact of such a result should not be underestimated, with taking a big three points off title rivals sure to give the Reds even more belief ahead of their attempts to catch league leaders, Chelsea, in the second half of the campaign.
