“He’s going to build an empire” – Liverpool fans are ecstatic as Jurgen Klopp signs new contract

Jurgen Klopp has committed his long-term future to Liverpool and Reds supporters are understandably delighted with the news.

The German signed a new deal with the Reds on Friday morning, prolonging his stay at Anfield until 2024.

Klopp’s previous contract was due to expire in 2022, and while some were fearful that he would leave at that point, he – and his two assistants, Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, have committed for another two years after that.

The 52-year-old has been a revelation as Liverpool boss, taking them top-four hopefuls to the most feared club side in the world.

On signing the new deal, Klopp said: “In 2015, I felt we were perfect for each other; if anything, now I feel I underestimated that.”

It’s another shrewd move from owners FSG, and Klopp highlighted just how well run the club is, saying: “This club is in such a good place.

“For anyone in football who aspires to compete in an environment where every element of the organisation is at its very best – from the support of the supporters to the vision of the owners – there can be no better place than this.”

Needless to say, these Reds fans have been expressing their delight on social media.
