Injury prone Brazilian left back who can also play left midfield, Aurelio has impressed at times but is seen as squad player rather than a first team regular following the injuries he has persistently struggled with since arriving at Anfield on a free transfer in summer 2006 from Rafa Benitez’s former club, Valencia.

Aurelio scored his first goal for the club against Bolton in March 2008.
