The agent of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano says his client has a great relationship with former Reds boss Rafa Benitez, and hinted he could join Benitez at Inter Milan later in the transfer window.
There has been growing speculation that Mascherano is looking for a way out of Liverpool following Benitez’s departure, and the lure of European Champions Inter Milan could be too irresistible for the Argentine.
Marco Piccioli, the midfielder’s agent, said, “I know Javier and Benitez have a great relationship. Sometimes that’s not enough but we will see.
“A deal can only happen towards the latter part of the transfer market, that’s my vision at least.”
