Traore completes Charlton switch

Djimi Traore has sealed his £2million transfer to Charlton Athletic, seven years after signing for Liverpool for £500,000.

Traore has won every medal possible with Liverpool ‘“ except for the Premiership. After being told that he was no longer part of manager Rafael Benitez’s plans at Anfield, he began looking for a new club.

New Charlton boss Ian Dowie has snapped the left-back up for £2million, signing Newcastle‘s Andy Faye for £2million also.

Dowie said, “We’re delighted to have made two quality signings, and they will both improve our first team squad.”

“We are also working very hard on several other signings. We hope to make further announcements soon.”
