Loan Watch: Hobbs on target

Liverpool’s loaned-out central defender Jack Hobbs was on target for Championship strugglers Scunthorpe United as they lost 3-2 at Stoke City on Friday night. Hobbs scored the Irons’ second goal as they took a 2 goal lead, heading home from a corner after 28 minutes.

Hobbs is on loan to Scunthorpe, who are currently bottom of the Championship, for the rest of the season and was voted their best player at full time on BBC Sports Player Rater.

Former Red Salif Diao was also on show at the Britannia Stadium, although he was subbed for Stoke’s substitute hero Richard Cresswell early in the second half. Stoke’s comeback put them top of the table, replacing Watford.
