Next Up: West Ham (h)

Liverpool host West Ham United at Anfield on Wednesday night (kick off 8pm) looking for their third consecutive win after victories over Middlesbrough and Bolton.

The match is the Reds’ game-in-hand over fourth placed Everton and a win would put Liverpool back into fourth, ahead of the Blues on goal difference.

The reverse fixture took place just over a month ago with Mark Noble’s injury time penalty giving Alan Curbishley’s team a 1-0 win. [Match Report]

The last time the two teams met at Anfield was back at the beginning of last season when Daniel Agger scored a stunning effort from 30 yards to mark the Kop’s 100th birthday in a 2-1 home win. [Match Report]

Agger and Andriy Voronin remain sidelined but apart from that Rafa Benitez could have a full squad to choose from, if Steve Finnan recovers from the knock which kept him out of Sunday’s win at Bolton. Finnan or Arbeloa may come back in at right back meaning a rest for Sami Hyypia with Jamie Carragher switching to centre back alongside Martin Skrtel.
