Defender Martin Skrtel has been ruled out of tonight’s friendly between Liverpool and Valerenga in Oslo after picking up a groin strain during the Reds’ 4-0 demolition of Rangers on Saturday.

It is thought that the injury will keep the tall Slovakian central defender out of tonight’s game and Friday’s home friendly against Lazio, but he should be fit for next Wednesday’s Champions League Qualifier away to Standard Liege in Belgium.

Tonight’s friendly kicks-off at 6pm and is live on LFC TV.
