Dirk Kuyt says dressing room morale is peaking exactly at the right moment, ahead of Saturday’s crunch Premier League clash with arch rivals Manchester United.
Liverpool know they must beat the league leaders on their own turf if they are to keep any faint dreams of catching them up alive.
And off the back of a 5-0 aggregate victory over Spanish giants Real Madrid, the timing of this match couldn’t be better.
“We can’t think about anything else but beating Manchester United on Saturday,” said Kuyt.
“United are a very good team, but we have shown this season that we can beat the big opponents when they come along.
“We won away to Chelsea and Real Madrid, we beat United and Madrid at Anfield so I think we can do something on Saturday.
“It will difficult, we know that. United are playing really well, especially at home, but we will give it all we can and try to win because we have to take three points.’
Manchester United vs Liverpool kicks off at 12:45pm on Saturday, 14th March.
