Next Up: Fulham (a)

After mid-week League Cup action, it’s back to Premier League action with a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Saturday (3pm).

Rafa Benitez will welcome back his first team players, including those rested in mid-week and hopefully club captain Steven Gerrard.

Reina, Carragher, Johnson, Agger and Torres were all rested against Arsenal. While Lucas had flu and Mascherano was suspended. Benayoun made a late sub appearance. All are expected to start against Roy Hodgson’s side.

Alberto Aquilani could also be in contention for his first league action after a 20 minute cameo at the Emirates. The Italian showed glimpses of why Benitez splashed £17m on the Italian this summer.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Arsenal host Tottenham in the North London derby, Chelsea travel to Bolton, Man United host Blackburn (no doubt Allardyce will have his side roll over for his best mate Fergie there). Man City are at Birmingham on Sunday.
