Reds pair in England squad

Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson have been named in Fabio Capello’s England squad for the forthcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Ukraine and Belarus.

England have already qualified for the finals to be held in South Africa next summer, but have these two remaining games left to play on Saturday 10th and Wednesday 14th October.

Liverpool are not in action again until October 17th, when they face Sunderland in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light.

There are also call-ups for former Reds players David James, Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch.
