Football - Liverpool v Sunderland Barclays Premier League

After a tenth defeat of the season at the hands of Man United on Sunday, Liverpool have a week until their next fixture, when Sunderland are the visitors to Anfield.

The Reds will be seeking revenge for the infamous beachball defeat they suffered in the corresponding fixture back in October.

Rafa Benitez should have the luxury of a fully fit squad available with no injury concerns at present.

Sunderland arrive amid a resurgence in their form after a dismal few months, but are now unbeaten in their last four fixtures, defeating Birmingham last time out. Before this though they face Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

Liverpool will be hoping the Black Cats can do them a favour there with Villa playing one of their games in hand in the race for fourth place, a win for Villa will move them ahead of the Reds and push Benitez’s side down to seventh.

In 20 goal forward Darren Bent and January transfer target Kenwyne Jones, Steve Bruce’s side posses plenty of attacking threat.

Kick off is 4pm on Sunday, live on Sky Sports (UK).
