Inter confirm they’re pondering Mascherano move

Inter Milan have confirmed that they are considering tabling a bid for Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with his agent recently stating that the midfielder would be keen to work with former Reds boss Rafa Benitez again at the San Siro.

Now Inter chief Massimo Moratti says the club definitely have the Argentine international on their wishlist.

“Mascherano? I know he has always played well, he has a strong character, is a smart guy,” Moratti told Sky Italia.

“We have so many players in that role good and intelligent. We’ll see if he can help us in terms of technical tactics. ”

Reports this morning suggested that Barcelona will re-enter the race to sign Mascherano after their pursuit of Arsenal‘s Cesc Fabregas fell through.
