Kuyt laughs off exit talk

Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt says he devoted to the club and has no intentions of leaving this summer, admid growing interest from other clubs due to his success with Holland in the World Cup.

Kuyt is now preparing for Sunday’s final against Spain after helping the Dutch to six straight victories, including a 3-2 Semi-Final win over Uruguay.

Kuyt’s form has attracted the praise of many and has recently been linked with moves to Italy and Spain.

But Kuyt says his heart belongs at Anfield. He says, “Of course I want to stay. Liverpool is a great club with a great history.

“Unfortunately in my four years I haven’t won anything but hopefully in the future I will still have that chance.

“We will have to see what happens but hopefully the manager wants me to stay.

“I spoke to people at the club and I know the manager wants to speak with me, but it is very difficult at the moment because we are so busy and focused on what lies ahead.”
