Teams: Wolves v LFC – Poulsen starts

Liverpool take on Wolves in the day’s early kick-off at Molinuex (12:45pm).

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish makes one change to the team which drew with Everton last week, bringing in the much maligned Christian Poulsen for youngster Jay Spearing.

Glen Johnson continues at left back, with Maxi and Kuyt supporting Torres up front.

Skipper Steven Gerrard misses the final game of his three match domestic ban after his dismissal against Man United.

The corresponding fixture of today’s game took place a little over three weeks ago – a lot has changed since then, most notably with Roy Hodgson departing and Dalglish arriving, bringing with it a whole new wave of optimism.

Wolves meanwhile have former Liverpool academy graduate Adam Hammill is in their squad after his transfer from Barnsley in the week. He is on the bench for Mick McCarthy’s team.
