Liverpool FC Director of Football says David Ngog has been given permission to speak to Sunderland about a potential move to the Stadium of Light.
It had been reported that Ngog was offered as part of the deal to bring 20-year-old midfielder Jordan Henderson to Anfield, but Comolli says the Frenchman’s transfer is separate.
After confirming Henderson’s arrival at the club, Comolli told the club’s official website, “Sunderland have had a strong interest in David, so we’ve agreed to let David speak to Sunderland about his future to see if he’s interested in going there. They’ve expressed a strong interest, so we’ll see what’s next for him.”
The Sunderland Echo report Liverpool value the 22 year-old striker at £3m.
