Liverpool’s season went from bad to worse on Sunday afternoon at Anfield as Arsenal comfortably beat Brendan Rodgers’ men to record a second defeat of the season for the Reds and leave them hanging, albeit early in the season, just one place above the relegation zone.
The Reds never got going in front of the home faithful, with new loan signing from Real Madrid Nuri Sahin making his debut against the Gunners.
But goals from Lukas Podolski and Santi Carzola secured the win for Arsenal to leave Anfield disappointed again and Reds fans unable to see where an improvement may come from this season.
