Twitter was awash with praise for Liverpool on Sunday afternoon as they swept aside arch rivals Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

- Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool: Reds turn tides to keep Premier League title dream alive
Brendan Rodgers’ team go second in the Premier League after the victory thanks to two penalties from Steven Gerrard and a strike from Luis Suarez.
It was a controlled and confident performance from the Reds, who keep their dreams of winning the title alive.
There was a huge gulf in quality obvious throughout the 90 minutes, during which Liverpool kept a solid shape to contain any signs of Man United pressure.
With Gerrard cooly converting two penalties either side of half-time, but missing a third later on, Suarez did well to latch onto Daniel Sturridge‘s mis-hit shot and show composure to score Liverpool’s third past David de Gea with eight minutes left.
At the back, Simon Mignolet pulled off a heroic save from Wayne Rooney’s shot late in the first-half, which was quickly followed by Martin Skrtel throwing himself in front of Rooney’s rebound.
Liverpool’s owner John Henry stats the post-match celebrations coming from the club and ex-players:
A convincing win at Manchester United. LFC is the most exciting team to watch in football.

Out of all of the title challengers, we are the hungriest. Gerrard is playing like a 22 year old. That can get us there. #LFC.

Rodgers a bit to classy to say he is going to 'knock them off their fucking perch' as well – that's the #LFC way.
