Liverpool have been drawn against League Two side Exeter City in the FA Cup third round.
The draw was made on Monday night at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, which hosted the FA Cup Final the last time Liverpool won the competition in 2006.
The match will be played at Exeter’s St. James’ Park and will take place on the weekend of 8th to 11th January.
The two sides last faced each other in 2011, in the League Cup second round, with Liverpool winning 3-1 courtesy of goals from Luis Suarez, Maxi and Andy Carroll.
Liverpool beat AFC Wimbledon in the third round last season, eventually exiting the competition at the semi-final stage – losing 2-1 to Aston Villa at Wembley. Jurgen Klopp‘s side will be looking to go one better this season.
