Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has agreed terms on a £13 million move to Stoke City.
The 26-year-old Welsh international has agreed personal terms with the Potters after Liverpool accepted the bid from Mark Hughes’ side last week.
Former club Swansea City, who Liverpool signed Allen from four years ago, had bid £8 million earlier this summer but failed to match Stoke’s bid.
Now, Allen is reported to have agreed to the move and will undergo a medical on Monday and join up with his new club at their training camp in Florida.
With just a year left on his contract, Liverpool will be happy with the fee they’ve received for the midfielder.
Allen leaves having made 132 appearances for the Reds, scoring seven goals.
The player impressed in cameo appearances under Jurgen Klopp in the second half of last season, and with Wales at the Euros, but would have had a very peripheral role at Anfield, especially following the arrivals of Marko Grujic and Giorginio Wijnaldum this summer.
