Jurgen Klopp addressed reporters at Melwood on Monday to preview Liverpool’s League Cup second-round clash with Burton Albion.
The German will lead his side out at the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday night, as they look to kick off another positive campaign in the League Cup.
Following Saturday’s 2-0 loss away to Burnley, this will be a must-win fixture for the Reds in terms of morale, and speaking to the media on Monday afternoon, Klopp suggested he would field a strong side.
The 49-year-old said he was unlikely to make “seven or eight” changes, and cast doubt over the possibility of either Danny Ings or Divock Origi starting.
Klopp also spoke about whether he was planning to make more signings before the end of the summer transfer window, but was reluctant to provide a definitive answer on the subject.
Defeat to Burnley was also on the agenda, with Klopp stressing that Liverpool would need to learn from their mistakes at Turf Moor.
