The German pits himself against Tony Pulis for the third time in his reign as Liverpool manager, and will be hoping to do better than the two draws he has experienced so far.
Naming his side for the Reds’ Saturday evening clash at Anfield, Klopp has largely stuck with the same selection that were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United five days previous.
Loris Karius keeps his place in goal, behind a back four of Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and James Milner.
Milner recovered from a head injury to return to training in midweek, avoiding a setback in what has been an excellent run of form at left-back so far.
In midfield, Jordan Henderson is joined by Lallana and Emre Can, with the former returning from injury.
This means Daniel Sturridge drops down to the substitutes’ bench, with Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino making up the rest of Klopp’s starting lineup as a three-man attacking unit.
Alongside Sturridge and the returning Georginio Wijnaldum on the bench are Simon Mignolet, Ragnar Klavan, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno and Divock Origi, providing Klopp with plenty of options throughout the evening.
Origi, who came off the bench to score a last-minute equaliser in Klopp’s first clash with Pulis—a 2-2 draw at Anfield—will be among those hoping to impress if called upon by the German.
