Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool squad were in great spirits following their 6-1 victory at home to Watford on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds produced one of their finest performances of the season at Anfield against the Hornets, with a brace from Sadio Mane and goals from Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum sealing an emphatic win.
Daryl Janmaat’s second-half strike was the only blot on Liverpool’s copybook on the afternoon, with each of Klopp’s players in strong form on Merseyside.
Now 12 games unbeaten in all competitions and 19 unbeaten at Anfield, the Reds currently sit top of the Premier League table, one point clear of second-placed Chelsea.
This is the first time they have been top since May 2014, when their last title challenge crumbled in the closing weeks of the 2013/14 campaign, and as such this is a significant feat.
Therefore, taking to Twitter and Instagram after their win, Klopp’s Liverpool were roundly positive.
Many focussed on the Reds’ progress in the league…
