Andrew Robertson became Liverpool’s third signing of the summer when he made the £8 million move from Championship side Hull City in July.

Robertson joins Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah as Jurgen Klopp plots for a successful 2017/18 campaign, preparing the compete for the role of first-choice left-back.

While there was little commotion surrounding Robertson’s move from the KC Stadium to Anfield, the 23-year-old remains an interesting addition.

The Scotland international underwent a medical while the Reds were away in Hong Kong for pre-season, with the club’s official YouTube account providing an insight into proceedings.

Robertson was in high spirits throughout as he went through scans, exercises and interviews, as well as being shown round Melwood.

There, he reflected on the magnitude of his move, having previously turned out for Queen’s Park and Dundee United in Scotland, before joining Hull.

“They brought in the training kit when I was having my heart scanned, and I think that was probably when it really hit home,” he said.

“You’re finally seeing the colours, the crest and you’re thinking ‘that’s the club that I’m now representing’.

“It was a special moment for me, and I just can’t wait to wear the shirt now.”

Robertson is likely to make his first appearance for the Reds during their pre-season tour of Germany, where they kick things off away to Hertha Berlin on July 29.
