Sadio Mane an injury doubt against Brighton

Sadio Mane is a fresh injury doubt for Liverpool’s final league game of the season on Sunday.

With a squad already extremely stretched, another injury is the last thing Jurgen Klopp needs for these vital last two games of the season.

Mane missed the recent league game with Stoke City with a slight injury, but speaking on Friday Klopp explained that he has a “fresh problem” – “It’s not the same injury,” he explained.

Thankfully it doesn’t appear to be a serious injury, meaning Mane should be available for the Champions League final in a fortnight, but it’s far from ideal.

Should he not be deemed fit enough to start against Brighton, Klopp could bring in Adam Lallana, Danny Ings or Dominic Solanke.

Alternatively, he could opt for a 3-5-2 formation, pairing Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah together up front.
