Sevilla Return for Moreno?
Spanish publication Marca claim Alberto Moreno “dreams” of heading back to Sevilla, with Liverpool potentially willing to let him rejoin them in January.
The Spaniard has fallen out of favour at Anfield, with Andy Robertson the obvious first-choice left-back and youngster Adam Lewis expected to be fast-tracked into the first-team squad next season.
Moreno’s current Liverpool deal runs out next summer, allowing him to move on a free transfer, but are the club contemplating receiving a fee for him in January instead?
It is unlikely given Lewis’ tender years, meaning Robertson would be the only senior left-back available, but expect him to move on at the end of the season.
On a personal note, it would be nice to see Moreno head back to the club he loves, although El Desmarque believe Atletico Madrid may also be interested.
Liverpool Midfield’s Damning Statistic
Liverpool’s midfield was woeful against Red Star, with Gini Wijnaldum, James Milner and Adam Lallana all completely anonymous.
That is summed up by an eye-watering statistic provided by WhoScored, who state that the trio didn’t make a single tackle between them at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
Things are just not happening in the middle of the park, even though individuals are playing well from time to time, and it is an area that must improve.

The attacking players are not being given the desired service and there is a one-paced look to it that highlights the importance of the stricken Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Alisson’s ‘Error’ Dissected by Expert
Alisson didn’t cover himself in glory for Milan Pavkov’s second goal on Tuesday night, allowing a well-struck shot to fly past him from distance.
Ex-goalkeeper David Preece, who always provides interesting analysis on his former role, has taken to Twitter to defend the Brazilian, but admits a minor error was made:

Perhaps it’s expecting too much for Alisson to have made the save—then again, it is unlikely that Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius would have been defended as much.
International Call-Up for Robertson
Robertson has been called up to Scotland’s squad for their upcoming pair of UEFA Nations League fixtures.
The 24-year-old will again captain his country, looking to lead them to more positive results than the respective 3-1 and 2-1 defeats to Portugal and Israel last month.
Scotland head to Albania on November 17, before looking to avenge the loss to Israel three days later at Hampden Park.
