Reds linked with winger & Wilson wanted overseas – Monday’s Liverpool FC News Roundup

We round up the latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours on Monday, as the Reds travel to Evian for a training camp.

Today’s Main Headlines

Liverpool Keen on Kamano

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are keen on signing forward Francois Kamano before the August 8 cutoff.

The Bordeaux favourite impressed last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting four times for the Ligue 1 club.

With the Reds in need of adding depth in attack, particularly in wide areas, €15 million (£13.6m) rated Kamano is reportedly an option.

The 23-year-old is capable of playing on either flank, with that versatility something that is sure to appeal to Jurgen Klopp.

Then again, this is a famously iffy Italian source reporting a story about a Ligue 1 player, so it all sounds a little hard to believe!

Kamano plays for Guinea alongside Naby Keita, earning 31 caps to date.

Sturridge in talks over SuperLig move

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is reportedly talking to Turkish side Trabzonspor over a two-year deal.

ESPN say the striker is being offered a hefty signing-on fee to join, after fellow SuperLig side Fenerbahce denied their own rumoured interest was genuine.

Trabzonspor are in the Europa League this season, so there’s no possibility of a reunion with his former Anfield team-mates on the Continental stage if Sturridge does sign for them.

Although he was handed a ban after breaching FA Betting Rules, Sturridge is free to play again after the end of July.

De Bruyne Predicts Lower Points Total

Kevin De Bruyne’s return to fitness will worry Liverpool supporters, considering Man City got 98 points last season without arguably their best player around for chunks of it.

The Belgian believes we may not see the same level of freakish consistency at the top of the table this time around, following a legendary battle between City and the Reds.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the boyhood Liverpool supporter says 85 points could even win the Premier League:

“We don’t need to beat the last two seasons – maybe we can win this season with 85 points.

“It is not about improving, it is about staying consistent, trying to be there every game, trying to win every game.

“It is not always about doing better, because how can you do better sometimes?

“To win every year what we won the last two years is going to be pretty difficult but it is good to be there.”

There will be no shame in Liverpool failing to repeat last season’s heroics of 97 points, but that’s not to say they can’t win the league with fewer points.

Dortmund Favourites to Sign Wilson

Harry Wilson‘s future remains unknown, as he looks to impress Klopp in pre-season.

While some rumours suggest the Liverpool manager is willing to keep the Welshman as a squad player, others believe he will happily accept a £25 million for the forward.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Borussia Dortmund are the surprise bookies’ favourites to sign Wilson this summer.

The Bundesliga giants are reportedly eyeing up a permanent deal for the 22-year-old, albeit via the unreliable Football Insider.

Whether or not it is a story to monitor remains to be seen – could Wilson follow the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson in being a young British player deciding to move to Germany?

Reds Linked with West Brom Teenager

We’ll forgive you for having never heard of Rayhaan Tulloch.

You may start to know the name a little more, however, with the Daily Mail claiming Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in signing him.

The 18-year-old West Brom striker is also wanted by Brighton and Swansea, having caught the eye in the Baggies’ academy and earning a call-up to England’s Under-18 squad.

Despite the interest in Tulloch, West Brom are concerned about losing another prodigious youngster, having already seen Louie Barry join Barcelona and Morgan Rogers move to Man City.

Liverpool seem keen on acquiring exciting teenage talent this summer, following the respective arrivals of Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott.
