Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been named as one of four Liverpool players in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the games against Montenegro and Kosovo this month.
England will welcome Montenegro to Wembley on November 14, before making the trip to Kosovo on November 17 in their final two Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain‘s recent run of impressive form for the Reds, which has returned four goals in as many appearances, has been rewarded by Gareth Southgate.
Liverpool’s No. 15 missed out on a call up in October despite having been a member of the squad in September, but the latest recall comes as another boost to his aims of returning as a regular for both club and country.
Jordan Henderson, who missed Liverpool’s midweek victory over Genk in the Champions League through illness, has been named as a member of the midfield contingent, while Joe Gomez joins Trent Alexander-Arnold as members of the defence.
Adam Lallana, meanwhile, was once again overlooked as his international career continues to stall amidst holding a fringe role at Anfield.
Man City‘s John Stones has returned to fitness and takes his place in the team, while Chelsea‘s Callum Hudson-Odoi similarly earned a recall.
The Three Lions need just one point from their final two games to secure their place for Euro 2020.
