According to reports in Germany today, Liverpool’s Didi Hamann is all set to seal his switch to join Bolton Wanderers this week.
Hamann is reluctantly leaving Anfield after being told by Reds boss Rafael Benitez that his first team appearances will be limited next season with Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard and Momo Sissoko ahead of the former German international in midfield.
At one point it was reported that Hamann had changed his mind on a transfer to the Reebok Stadium and was set to stay at Liverpool to fight for his place. But the 32-year-old has reportedly told German press that he is in search of regular first-team football.
“I want to have another chance for a two or three-year contract and I also want to play every week,” he said.
Good luck in the future, Didi.
