Second leg venue confirmed

Liverpool will play the second leg of their Champions League third qualifying round against Israeli side Maccabi Haifa in Kiev.

UEFA decided that it was too dangerous for Rafael Benitez’s side to travel to Israel and play the second leg there. Instead the game will be played at home of Dynamo Kiev.

The Reds lead 2-1 in the tie thanks to goals from Craig Bellamy and Mark Gonzalez in the first leg at Anfield last week.

The return leg will take place on Tuesday 22nd August, three days after Liverpool open their Premiership campaign away to Sheffield United (August 19th).
