After the nightmare against Barnsley, Liverpool face their biggest game of the season with the visit of Italian champions Inter Milan to Anfield on Tuesday night in the Champions League last sixteen, first leg, 7:45pm kick off.
Rafa Benitez hopes to have top scorer Fernando Torres back from injury and will recall captain Steven Gerrard, goalkeeper Pepe Reina and midfield anchorman Javier Mascherano. There could also be a place for Alvaro Arbeloa in the Reds’ defence, while up front Peter Crouch or Dirk Kuyt will make way for Torres.
Roberto Mancini’s side go into the game on back of a comfortable 2-0 win over Livorno – leading to them opening up an eleven point gap at the top of Serie ‘A’. Keeper Julio Cesar is suspended meaning Francesco Toldo will start for the Nerazzurri.
